Meet the SCC Board of Directors
Michelle Hartley
President
Michelle was born and raised in South Dakota, and is the youngest of 10 children. Michelle moved to Alaska with her parents in 1980. She is wife to a loving husband of 30 years and mother of three boys. Her family moved to Sterling in January of 2018. She has spent nearly 30 years working in education and nonprofit youth organizations. In addition to working to make her land a fully sustainable homestead, she holds a teaching degree from the University of Alaska Southeast.

Jennifer has been a resident of Sterling for thirty two years. She is a dedicated wife and mother, and an active member of our community. For 20 years she worked as a teacher. Currently she is the manager at Cooks Corner.
